We didn’t see how disconnected we’d become
Disconnection didn’t arrive suddenly. It grew quietly, hidden behind routines, responsibilities, and busy schedules. We still talked every day, but conversations revolved around tasks and logistics. Deeper moments slowly disappeared without us noticing.
At some point, the distance became impossible to ignore. We realized we were sharing space, but not truly connecting. Neither of us intended for this to happen. Life simply took over, and we assumed closeness would always be there.
Through shared reflection, we began recognizing the small moments where we had stopped showing up fully for each other. Interruptions replaced listening. Assumptions replaced curiosity. Awareness brought discomfort, but also clarity.
Reconnection didn’t happen overnight. It came through small, intentional changes. We learned how to pause, to check in, and to speak honestly without blame. Gradually, presence replaced distance.
Today, we feel more aligned and aware than before. Connection feels intentional rather than assumed. We didn’t just reconnect. We learned how to stay connected, even when life gets busy again.
